[et_pb_section admin_label=”section”] [et_pb_row admin_label=”row”] [et_pb_column type=”4_4″][et_pb_text admin_label=”Text”]

Finally, this is the time to bid farewell to the blessed month of Ramadan with a hope that may Allah Almighty accepts our fasts and supplications. Today, after the first sighting of new moon, everyone will be set to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr which literally means “the festival of breaking the fast”. This year, celebrate the three auspicious Eid days with your family, friends and underprivileged people of society with joy and fervor.

Follow the simple tips to enjoy the most of this glorious occasion with good health:

Eid Day Routine:

Start your day by eating something sweet and light e.g. dates before heading to the Eid prayer. After coming back from the prayer, opt for a nutritious and a healthy breakfast that includes oatmeal, a banana or whole grain toast. Try to keep your dinner timings similar to the Iftaar timings so that you can gradually shift to the new eating habits. During this whole time, remember the golden rule of “portion control” as it would help you to avoid stomach problems. At last, keep yourself hydrated throughout the day as severe heat wave continued to grip the country.

Shifting To New Eating Habits:

Slowly adjust your body to the new eating habits, because for a whole month our body is not used to eating in the day time. Our metabolism tends to get lower so in order to get back on track, try consuming meals that are more frequent but smaller in size. Take bulk of your calorie at morning time and keep it light at night.

Improve Your Sleeping Schedule:

As we mark the end of Ramadan and drift into Eid, it is necessary to start setting a regular bed time. Majority of the people face sleep deficit during Ramadan therefore, they need to catch up on all that missed sleep by adjusting their sleep schedule properly. It is advisable to get 7 to 9 hours of sleep per night for a calm mind.

Eid-ul-Fitr Mubarak!
