Eid ul Fitr is just around the corner. As we bid farewell to this blessed month of Ramadan we can’t help but get excited for Eid. The henna, the bangles and of course the amazing sweets. To enjoy the most of this glorious occasion, follow these tips for a happy and a healthy Eid:

Tips to follow:

- Slowly adjust your body to the new eating habits, because for a whole month our body is not used to eating in the day time.

- Before reading the Fajr Prayer, eat something light. E.g: Dates.

- When you return home after the prayer don’t eat something super heavy, opt for milk (Low Fat).

- Eat a nutritious and a healthy breakfast, that can include oatmeal, a banana, whole grain toast etc.

- For lunch and dinner try to keep your timings similar to the iftar timings so that your body can get used to the new eating habits.

- To avoid stomach problems, portion control is the key.

- Avoid white and processed sugar, use honey as a substitute to make tasty desserts.

- Incorporate gentle exercise as well.

- Hydrate. Hydrate. Hydrate.

- Enjoy this glorious day with your family and friends.
